For David Proznick

Inspired by Inuit throat singing this piece uses various sounds of throat singing, drumming and dancing along side natural sounds of the north, geese, ravens, ice, wind etc.. Along with these sounds are recorded sounds of a string quartet playing with various kinds of bowing techniques, circular bowing, vertical bowing, wispy circular harmonic bowing, natural and artificial harmonics and double stopped harmonics. The piece leads us on a journey to the far north of Canada and a soundscape that is truly unique.
