About Movement 3 "Industrial"
This is a collaborative project with six composers. My contribution is movement 3 titled "Industrial". Although this movement forms one part of the larger project it can also be performed on its own as a stand-alone work. The movement muses on industrial development within Canada—specifically the railroad. The form is framed through a relentless pulse that builds throughout the nine or so minutes. The rhythm grows systematically, racing out of control. For information on the entire collaborative project and/or to watch the premiere of the entire work visit: https://calgaryphil.com/

Movement 2: MAXIME MCKINLEY
Movement 3: DEREK CHARKE
Movement 4: DOROTHY CHANG
Movement 5: VINCE HO
YUKICHI HATTORI, choreography
GARY KULESHA, conductor
